OSL takes part in the European week to promote competences TIC.

1st at March 5th will be held the European week of numerical competences, the e-Skills Week. This week of sensitizing will stress the increasing demand of users and qualified professionals as regards communication and information technologies, in order to build innovating and competitive Europe.
The e-Skills week is the high point of a campaign which aims at informing the students, the young professionals and SME of the multitude of possibilities offered by the TIC professions. The objective is also to stress the importance of numerical competences in the current society.
Thus, during the next weeks, public authorities, companies in the TIC sector (whose OSL), educational establishments and students will take part in a whole series of activities, formations, visits of schools, contest, etc
Launched on the initiative of the DG Entreprises and industry of the European commission, this campaign is coordinated by DigitalEurope and European Schoolnet, in collaboration with 20 european partners.
OSL, as a member of AGORIA, takes part in the campaign with the 2 following operations: - “100 data processing specialists in 100 schools” (CEO Turn 2009): Benoit Hucq, executive director of OSL, visits two schools where he speaks about his experiment in the exciting world of TIC and to present its multiple facets;
- visits of schools in companies during the week e-Skills 2010: OSL will open its doors to the students, who will thus be likely to meet professionals of the sector TIC.
In the same way, OSL welcomes each year students in IT technologies. Three graduates in data processing integrated at the beginning of January the development teams of OSL. During several weeks and under the responsibility of a godfather or a godmother, the future graduates put their school assets into practice, improve their training, develop their knowledge and are plunged in the reality of work.
